Simple. Private. Intentional.

Everything you need to know about how Mithaq works — before you submit a single detail.

For Brothers / For Sisters

The process is the same for brothers and sisters — both can browse, both can express interest, and both are in full control at every stage.

When your interest is approved, you receive the wali's contact details. It is then your responsibility to approach in the proper manner. Mithaq does not facilitate direct messaging between men and women

Your identity is protected throughout. No one sees your name, photo or contact details without your explicit approval. Your wali is part of the process — and if you don't have a wali available, we make alternative arrangements. Nobody is excluded.

What it actually looks like

This is the real Mithaq interface. No surprises. What you see here is exactly what you will experience.

This is the real Mithaq interface. No surprises. What you see here is exactly what you will experience.

When someone expresses interest in you, you receive a private notification with their profile attached. You review it before deciding.

On approval, contact details are shared privately through the bot. Nothing is ever posted publicly.

No pile-ons. No competition. Just your turn. When you express interest in a profile, you are either active immediately or placed in a fair queue. One person at a time. The sister reviews each interest privately, with no pressure and no awareness of who else is waiting. Your position is yours. When it is your turn, you will know.

Declining with dignity

Declining is a normal and expected part of the process. It is not awkward — it is the system working as it should. You can decline with a reason from a preset list, or type your own. The requester is notified privately and the queue moves on.

Receiving a decline is not a reflection on you. It simply means the fit wasn't right at this time. The right person is still out there insha'Allah.
